If the show wasn't awesome enough, we just happen to be staying in the same hotel they were!! My husband, Joe & I were in the lobby of this log cabin type hotel, sitting by the fire & eating pizza. I had just kicked his butt in Battleship and Keith came down to the front desk! He came over and said hi, he seemed to recognize me (or put on a good act). We talk to him for a little bit and ask if we were coming to the meet & greet. I told him I had fan club meet & greet passes, but Joe didn't. Keith said he could come and just to tell the merchandise guy that "Keith said it was ok" and he give him a pass! There was a piano behind us and Keith sat down and started to play sing. He sang a song that he had JUST wrote with Darius Rucker (Hootie & The Blowfish) - I think it was called "Laura Jones" & it'll be on Darius Rucker's next CD.
Me & Trick Pony!
The Meet & Greet was in between the two shows, Joe got a pass and come with. I had them sign my copy of "Girls Guide to Country". Over a year ago I was contacted by the author, she was writing this book and wanted some photos and also wanted to interview me about going to concerts and meeting country stars. She used 3 of my concert photos. And put one of my Trick Pony meet & greets with my interview in the book!! I just had to show it to Trick Pony! They really thought it was neat - and wanted to know where they could get it! Maybe I'll have to give them a copy the next time I see them!
