Kenny Rogers Suits Up For Annual Holiday Tour by Jon Zahlaway liveDaily Staff Writer

December 01, 2003 02:27 PM - Kenny Rogers spreads cheer throughout the U.S. during his annual holiday outing, which this year features more than just music.

The outing, dubbed "Christmas from the Heart Featuring the Toy Shoppe," features "lavish sets, life-size toys and a full cast of kids," according to a press release. Also joining Rogers at each stop is a local choir group.

The performance is divided into two parts. During the first half of the show, Rogers "takes the audience on a musical journey through life in a small town, complete with snowfall," and sings holiday standards such as "The Christmas Song," "Let It Snow" and "White Christmas." Part one also includes a nativity scene that "comes to life as the children and choir join Rogers for his special performance of 'The Chosen One,' featuring classics like 'Silent Night,' 'The First Noel' and 'Joy to the World.'"

The set is changed during an intermission, after which Rogers returns to the stage to portray the lead character in a new Christmas story that he co-wrote with Kelly Junkermann. The tale, titled "The Toy Shoppe," features Rogers as the shop's owner, and additional characters include "Hero the dog," "Cheeseball the mouse" and "Bruno the bear."

The in-progress holiday tour runs until December 20. Rogers then plans to take a break over the Christmas holiday, after which he resumes his own headlining run in support of his latest album, "Back to the Well," which hit stores in late September. The album features Rogers' latest hit, "Handprints on the Wall."

A great company that uses points that you redeem (1000 points=$10). They'll usually give you a screener survey for 20-30 points and if you qualify, they'll ask you to continue on to a larger survey. These usually start from 300+ points. You'll get two surveys to start off - less than 5 minutes apiece. Only then will your account be activated. Be careful not to delete it as spam.
They usually pay $5-$20 bucks a survey. There are some for less than that, but the surveys are pretty painless.
