Tuesday night Chely Wright hosted her annual benefit concert at the Wildhorse Saloon to raise money for her Reading, Writing and Rhythm Foundation, and without a doubt, the highlight of the evening was when Chely's people literally surprised her by bringing Loretta Lynn out on stage to sing with her. As if that wasn't enough, halfway through singing Coal Miner's Daughter, Loretta summoned Sissy Spacek to the stage.
Steve Azar
Cyndi Thomson
Tommy Shane Steiner
Shannon Brown
Chely attempted to jump in on a few lines of "Coal Miner's Daughter," but was so stunned and thrilled that for the most part she just stood there soaking up what was going on. At one point she said, "I can die now. I can absolutely die. My favorite actress and my favorite singer/songwriter on stage together. I need to go lay down."

Gary Allan
Brad Schmitt & Clay Walker
Besides surprise guests and performances by people like Steve Azar, keith urban, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Diamond Rio, Gary Allan, Cyndi Thomson and Tommy Shane Steiner, the night also featured a live auction, which brought in a ton of money, including $3100 for a tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame with Chely, $3600 for the shirt off of keith urban's back, which he literally took off on stage, $2500 for Gary Allan's hat and $7700 for a flyaway for two to see Chely Wright in concert and have dinner with her. TOTAL MONEY GATHERED $111,000. (June 12, 2002 ~ CountryStars.com)
