I read in the Bryan White Fan Club newsletter that Bryan was doing a mall appearances to promote the new album, "How Lucky I Am". I was so happy when I found out Bryan was coming to the Mall of America!! I took the day off work, and got there at about 11:00 with my cousin Kimberly and her friend Kayla. Bryan was starting to sign autographs at 4:00. There were only a couple people in line when we got there so we wondered the mall for a while. (We were kinda hoping to run into some of Bryan's Band members, we didn't, the only band member that came with Bryan was Brinson). We got in line around noon, there still weren't many people there... My friend Heather join us, and my mom came a little later. We were right up front! We passed the time chatting with people around us about Bryan and how much K*102 sucks, we couldn't figure out why they weren't promoting Bryan's appearance, they do it for everyone else! Oh Well, the New BOB was there! And they did an AWESOME job with Bryan!!
The AWESOME New Twin Cities Country station, the New BOB 106.1, was promoting Bryan's appearance at the Mall! They are so Great! They spent the whole week before talking about Bryan coming to the mall and played his new song. (K*102 absolutely sucks when it comes to Bryan! They will not play his new song "You're Still Beautiful To Me", they rarely play any of his older stuff. Bryan has a new album, a new single and is coming to the Minnesota State Fair and K*102 is completely ignoring him!!)
BOB plays everything! The old stuff, the brand new stuff & every thing in between too! K*102 only plays the same "top 40" songs over and over all day! You can call in and request any song on BOB, and they will actually play it! What a concept! K*102 won't do that! I even got them to play Bryan's "Bad Day To Let You Go", I love that song, K*102 never played it!!
Later, Jim gave me, my mom, Heather, my cousin Kimberly and her friend Kayla free BOB T-shirts! (Which we all proudly wore!) He also put me, Kim and Kayla on the air. (We wanted to say how awesome BOB was and how much K*102 sucks, but he would let us... LOL!) He just got on the air and said he had some Bryan White Fan Club members here and had us say what we like most about Bryan and what are favorite song was. Then he gave my web page address out! Very cool! He said he'd dedicate a song to us the next day too! (And he did! The next day he was talking about Bryan's appearance at the mall and said he met some huge Bryan fans there "The Shakopee Gang" He said "one of those girls knew everything about Bryan White" (ya think he was referring to me? LOL). He played "Rebecca Lynn" for us. After the song he said "There's this great web site if your a Bryan White fan you gotta check out. It's http://www.geocities.com/Nashville/Opry/7923. One of the big fans of Bryan White has this great website you gotta check out. And if you're going to the fair you gotta check out Bryan White tonight! Great show, super guy!
